The Enduring Tale of Little Red Riding Hood

Once upon a time, in a village nestled against a deep, dark forest, lived a sweet young girl named Little Red Riding Hood. One day, her mother baked a basket of goodies and asked Little Red Riding Hood to take them to her ailing grandmother, who lived on the far side of the woods. “Stay on the path and don’t talk to strangers,” her mother warned.

Little Red Riding Hood promised to obey and skipped off into the woods. The sunlight dappled through the leaves, and birdsong filled the air. However, a sinister pair of eyes was watching her from the shadows – a cunning wolf with a ravenous appetite.

The wolf approached Little Red Riding Hood, his voice dripping with false sweetness. He learned about her journey and hatched a wicked plan. Racing ahead, the wolf devoured the unsuspecting grandmother and disguised himself in her clothes.

Little Red Riding Hood arrived at her grandmother’s cottage, unaware of the danger lurking within. She noticed her grandmother looked rather strange. “Grandmother, what big eyes you have,” she exclaimed. “All the better to see you with, my dear,” the wolf replied, his voice disguised. This strange exchange continued with Little Red Riding Hood remarking on her grandmother’s big ears, teeth, and finally, “Grandmother, what a big mouth you have!”

“All the better to eat you with!” roared the wolf, leaping from the bed and gobbling Little Red Riding Hood in a single gulp. Sated, he fell into a deep slumber.

Fortunately, a brave woodsman was passing by. He heard the wolf’s loud snores and suspected something was amiss. Peering in, he saw the wolf’s swollen belly. With a swift stroke, he cut open the sleeping beast, rescuing both Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother, unharmed.
