The Palm Pilot became a sensation, and its clever Graffiti handwriting system was a brilliant solution to entering data before tiny keyboards were a thing.
This led to the next distinct era in the early 2000s: the Age of the Keyboard. This period was dominated by one business-focused champion: BlackBerry. Its killer feature, push email, made it an essential tool for any serious professional. The satisfying click-clack of its physical keyboard became the soundtrack of productivity.
