Does “It’s a Piece of Cake” Actually Involve Cake?

Did you ever think someone promising “it’s a piece of cake” meant you’d get an actual slice of cake? Well, let’s clear that up before you end up disappointed and cake-less.

Here’s the deal: “It’s a piece of cake” doesn’t mean dessert is on the way. It just means something is super easy. Like, if someone says, “The test was a piece of cake,” they’re not saying the teacher handed out cupcakes; they’re saying it was so simple even a sleepy raccoon could ace it.
